The Engagement Ends…

So Kyle and Ahna are married!  Trav and I just returned from Oregon for the wedding of my younger brother Kyle, to his fiance and one of my nearest and dearest friends, Ahna Oberg.  They had a beautiful wedding at the First Congregational United Church of Christ and the reception was help at the Portland Art Museum.  It would take many many many paragraphs to write all about the weekend.  Here is a quick overview.

Friday consisted of a mani & pedi party at Dosha with all the women, mom’s and bridesmaids, at Dosha in Northwest Portland.  Then all the bridesmaids headed to The Paramount for the evening and to get changed for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  The rehearsal went well and you could tell Ahna was finally realizing she was finally getting married.  The rehearsal dinner at Bridgeport Brewery was awesome, I had helped my mom earlier that day set up for the event, do the centerpieces, and get everything ready.

Saturday was a very full day.  We all got up and were picked up by the Hummer limo Ahna rented by 9:30am and off to Dosha for brunch, catered by Elephants, makeup and hair.   Talk about another fun morning.  Kyle and the boys, as well as the mom’s got to ride to their respective locations in the limo as well.  The wedding began at 5:30pm and was beautiful.  Ahna looked amazing and so did Kyle.  The reception was held just across the park blocks at the Portland Art Museum and not only was the space itself amazing but every decoration, flower arrangement and detail perfect.  The reception was definitely a party with people dancing until at least midnight, including the bride and groom.

Sunday was a nice low key family brunch, with the most amazing biscuits and gravy made by Mindy and Ali, Ahna’s aunt and cousin.

Here are some pictures to show you the beautiful event.
